We had a successful composting day with Celia and Rosie and around 20 keen gardeners. Go to our photo gallery to see the step by step process.
Celia and Rosie emphasised that we are always working with living forces in biodynamics, as opposed to the mineral and inorganic that dominate conventional agriculture.
Biodynamics also grounds our place in the scheme of things, as we work with the moon and outer cosmos in our own individual ‘patch’. It’s gardening on a grand scale.
Fuelled by ample quantities of soup, bread and cake, we created a beautiful heap, now snug in its protective ‘coat’ of valerian preparation and straw. Our extremely neat heap should be ready around December.
