An oar, rather than a spade?

Amazing, this rain. It exceeds superlatives, so let’s just say that it is wet at the garden. The design and layout as well as soil improvements have meant that the garden has managed the copious rainfall very well, but we’ll soon be needing boats rather than wheelbarrows at this rate. Should the rain ease, the Garden Notes for December have been posted, with some hints for avoiding mildews and diseases from the humid conditions. At this rate we may be growing mangoes and bananas, not tomatoes and leeks! Good gardening and festive season wished for December.
