October in the Garden

How wonderful to feel the new season’s warmth and the lengthening days. And how transforming for the winter garden. Though slightly delayed, October’s planting notes are now posted. Go well and quickly because in gardening, timing is everything. But also take your time to enjoy the changes; the unmistakeable smell of broad bean blossom, the enlivening of soil, plants and insects; the changes in light and shade.

Our arts project is gaining momentum. More news shortly on our design selections and the construction process. We are currently reviewing our budget and the project proposals and will put them on show at the garden. The level of input and interaction from our local artists has been fabulous and we look forward to continuing this connection as we build and create our community garden.
