After the wild weather our magnificant peppercorn tree has sucumbed. Lucky Bob – no damage to property on his side – or garden. Many thanks to Wes Martin, Kirsty & children who spent much of Saturday morning at the garden. Mary provided the pictures. Looks like tree maintenance may become an ongoing issue….
Welcome to Linda & Geoff who have been Digger members but have now taken on a plot.
Our Children’s Literature Festival
event, ‘Bugs, Grubs and Garden Gremlins’, is now fully booked. Thirty-four children and lots of parents will keep us busy on Monday 1st October
from 10.30 – 12.30. Garden members we’d love your help before, on, or after the day.
Next Sunday 23rd is Seedy Sunday – come along to swap seed and learn how to sow different seeds, 9am – 10.30 and 1.30 – 3pm. We hope to get summer veges started and plants for sale at the Garden Festival. Then Sunday 30th 10.30am our Joint Spring celebration with Anglican Church members. BYO food to share. This is an opportunity to strengthen the important relationship with the Church community from whom we lease the garden, to socialise, do some gardening and prepare for the next day’s children’s event.
